The Destruction
The impact on the Ukrainian children and education system since the invasion is devastating. The invading force have been kidnapping and deporting Ukrainian children, whilst destroying and looting educational facilities. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine estimates the total loss in the educational sector to be 10.6 billion USD. Over 7 billion of this involves the rebuilding of kindergartens and schools.

The Impact Of War
Today, 1.5 million Ukrainian children are studying remotely, and this education is often subpar to in-person learning. Families may have one device for three children — most often just a smartphone — which they use to access online lessons. Teachers often don't have a computer to conduct lessons. Additionally, 32% of schools are not currently equipped with bomb shelters

Delivering Hope
Game4Ukraine's goal is to raise funds to begin the re-building of schools across Ukraine. Beginning with the Mykhailo-Kotsiubynskyi School in Chernihiv Oblast. It was hit by missiles on March 4, 2022. Thankfully, inhabitants had taken safety in the shelter, and were not injured. The classrooms were completely destroyed as the school took a direct missile hit. Help us bring pupils back to school.
